“In the fake news media, there are two sets of rules, and conservative[s] are always treated differently,” she continued.

Well, she’s right about that much, but not in the way she thinks.

Honestly, the fact that sociopathic whack jobs like Noem are even given the time of day by the media shows how beholden they are to conservative interests.

      It is so bad 🤣.

Oh man, it was worse than I thought it would have been.

She was asked multiple straight-up “yes or no” questions, and would dance around or try completely change the subject. When the interviewer called her on it, she’d spout nearly the same talking points again, and sometimes even a third time. If she was complaining about being interrupted its because, several times, she completely ignored the question being asked and simply went off into unrelated campaign style language. She was interrupted when the interviewer was pulling her back to answer the question being asked.

90% of the questions she was asked were about direct quotes from her book. She even said “I refused to discuss who I met with”…but she had no problem discussing those things in the book? So bizarre.

Her: “Why don’t you ask Joe Biden about things he misspoke about?”

Interviewer: “I haven’t gotten an interview with Joe Biden, but I will ask him when I do. I have an interview with you so I’m asking you about what you said.”

Did she take too much Xanax before that interview? I only got a few minutes in but there was zero inflection in her voice even when they called her on her bullshit of claiming to have met Kim Jong Un.

I always thought sociopaths need to learn how to fake it well to operate in society. But I guess that requirement goes out fo the window when you replace society with GOP.

Her publisher removed it from the book, and announced that, but it’s always important not to be recorded admitting you were full of shit. This way, it’s less efficient to use the soundbite against her. But HOLY SHIT that was awkward.

As for the books, it’s basically a rite of passage in both parties for younger politicians with ambitions to put out a memoir/manifesto. It lays out how you want to be perceived and sort of announces, “I am a serious political figure.” Sometimes it goes REALLLLLY badly.

Yeah I don’t mean to imply that both parties aren’t corrupt. The gop seems to just be better at it and therefore the Democrats are forced to have slightly more sane policies.

        I hate this.

        that’s great analysis.

Its true of both parties, that when when politician communicates in public, they need to do 2 things :

        1. Show that you are obedient and skilled at delivering and defending the policies paid for by your parties donors.
        2. throw a bit of red meat to feed your base.

        thats the job.

If you are prepared to go on TV, and say we could easy the hunger problem by eating babies, and you are good at it - well, money and power will come your way.

        The Democrats serve corporate profits.

The Republicans currently serve the billionaire class, for whom having the thumb on the scales is no longer enough, and demand that reality itself be bent to their will.

The publisher for Morning Joe Scarborough apparently launders GOP money and keeps Matt Gaetz in his old seat (FLA - 1). The dinosaurs are hoping their traditional media monopoly will drown out the counter arguments on the internet. This explains Sinclair media buyouts and that famous video of scripted joirnalism somewhat as well.

    I’m a snowflake! I’m a snowflake! I’m a snowflake!

It was around 2019 that I realized that conservatives have a persecution complex. I thought I’d unlocked some secret truth. Nope. It’s obvious to all of us who pay attention (I just hadn’t been paying attention).

They definitely are treated differently. Unfortunately they are given preferential treatment by spineless media outlets and the largest broadcast network in the country is their propaganda mouthpiece. I fucking wish Americans didn’t trust fake news.

They also tend to have zero self awareness. Democrats aren’t treated the same as Republicans because Republicans like Noem act much differently, evading questions and just incessantly blathering on.

The American Republican party is a gathering of the stupidest people in society and is lorded over by the sociopaths who have no issues manipulating that gaggle of morons.

They think their persecuted because Christian Conservatives act as though they are persecuted. In readings of the Bible it is said that the Christian will undergo long suffering for their beliefs. Since they are the oppressors and not the oppressed they fabricate the persecution. Then their political leaders emulate this behavior because it’s common and acceptable to their indoctrinated followers.

Couldn’t really imagine the GOP without the features of chiristianity. They should really just cut out the middle man and combine the church with the party. Nothing would change.

No no no. That’s a line from the novel 1984, which is a criticism of Communism. Kristi Noem hates Communism. How can the statement apply to her? She’s literally always been at war with Eastasia.

I agree but theres a second example of people who should have their tits talked about more: conservative men.

De Santis likely has nice sexy man boobs. It’s why Florida bans so much trans stuff; because he’s insecure about it.
