Are these all confirmed now? Seems decent casting though I still hold the last Fantastic Four movie as the worst movie I’ve seen so my hopes for this remain very low but cautiously willing to raise them.

But which Fantastic Four film do you refer to?

      • The “unreleased” 1994 version
      • The 2005 version with its Silver Surer Sequel
      • The 2015 release, directed by Josh Trank?

The Josh Trank film. And it’s sad that there are multiple options for possible worst films in this franchise. Still the Josh Trank one is the worst!

The plot is that some interns get drunk, decide to turn on a dangerous machine at their company, but before hand, decide to go on a multi-hour drive back to their hometown to grab their stupid friend who has no relation to their job. Things go wrong when they turn on the machine and they get super powers I guess.

The invisible woman has a thirsty ass wig in a few scenes, which is more noteworthy than the plot.

Anyway, three of the interns are captured and imprisoned and the fourth goes on a one scene vacation before then voluntarily joining them in trying to turn on the machine or something, there’s a final boss, too, but it doesn’t really matter by then and has no real setup or payoff.

I think there’s an interesting film in there somewhere trying to get out. It’s obvious by the final act that the studio had to step in and fix the mess. There’s quite a lot of footage online of scenes that didn’t make the final film.

This trailer features footage of the Thing jumping out of a stealth bomber to a military base at 2:20. That never happened.

Also, this B Roll footage shows that scenes were filmed with a Fantasticar, that never made the final cut.

I mean, what we got was pretty bad and maybe Trank’s director’s cut was any good either, but I would like to have seen what he was trying for.
