I am having some family members visit my place for the first time since I moved in and I’m pretty excited. It’s a small thing, but yeah. I have a tendency to work most weekends because I don’t have a social life so it’s a nice change of pace. Do any of you get to do anything fun? Hooe your Friday goes well!
I’m starting a new Pathfinder campaign on Sunday. I’ve spent the last couple weeks meeting with the players to build their characters and go over backstory. We are all hyped for it to start.

It’s a premade adventure from Paizo called “Abomination Vaults”, but I’ve done a bunch of customization to migrate it into my own homebrew world. I’ve spent a bunch of time over the past few days writing a cinematic intro sequence for each character, similar to the ones BLM does in Dimension 20. I’ve got 5 players and I’ve worked with each of them to flesh out their characters backstory and make sure that I understand the vibe they’re going for.
I ran a session last week where they got to play a couple of simulated combat encounters in order to feel out the tactics of the party, and so they could decide if they wanted to change their build after trying it out. However, I told them not to roleplay during that session, so that during the first real session we get to see the PCs actually coming together and getting to know each other in RP terms. None of the players know much about the other PCs apart from what they can do mechanically.
I’m super excited for everyone to have a “wait, that’s your character‽” Moment as they get to know each other.
My honey comes home tonight and we’re celebrating his birthday this weekend. Surprising him with a fancy grill.
I’m visiting Calgary/Banff in Canada at the moment with my wife and some friends. We’ve got plans for fly fishing, ATV rides and a hike, all of which I’ve never done before so it should be fun.
Hiking in Banff is awesome! I climbed Sulphur mountain back in December of 2019 when I travelled there to visit my sister.
I have some family coming over tonight but I really don’t feel up for it. Other than that nothing else.
Going to hunt for sharks teeth for the first time.
In-laws are coming in from out of state for a 5 day visit. They fly in tomorrow. Looking forward to catching up with them as always.
Seeing Tori Amos on Sunday, and took Monday off, super stoked! Haven’t seen her in ages and she is one of my earliest muses, so I know it will be a magical evening!

i’m shopping on saturday and then my nieces want to go swimming on sunday. i’ve been growing out my leg hair for a wax which means i’m in a bit of a situation but whatever, i’m sure we’ll have fun anyway
Going to one of what feels like a million Islamic functions. Will be like this for a few weeks. Honestly quite nice - not as boring once you get to understand Urdu. The u10 youth beg to differ, though.
It’s 24 Hours of Cross Stitch weekend and I have about 100 episodes of Futurama to watch before the new season drops next week.

I’m volunteering tonight at a community concert in the park, but then the rest of the weekend will be MEGA LAUNDRY EXTRAVAGANZA. If I can get it all done before the farmer’s market closes on Sunday, I hope to make a trip out there… but realistically, I’ll probably be too worn out by then.
Probably not. May go hiking with my dad tomorrow if the weather isn’t too bad. Otherwise just hanging out around the house like most weekends, lol.
I go to one of my girlfriends house (polyamorous) on the weekends. I was at a local lego store the other day, and I got her a Star Wars 501st clone minifig as a cute small surprise. I’m excited to see her smile when I give it to her ^^
