Not really a question, but yeah, I’ve noticed this too. I was wondering if it was a federation issue.
call me a wierdo, but I kinda like this. I get a “deleted by creator” message, but I can still read it. It’s like “dang I was late, what did they want tho?”
I don’t mind as long as it’s communicated to the user more clearly. Nothing’s ever really deleted on the internet anyway.
If the user wants to delete a comment, that should be respected. Even though it can satiate curiosity, it also removes peoples ability to rescind comments they may change their mind about later.
This is certainly functionality that should not be kept.

It didn’t works because of federation issue i believe, since you’re from lemm.ee and they have that issue after updated to 0.19 that only got resolved now iinm.
Try delete, nothing is solved.
Wow fuck, on the webUI you can’t copy the text, but on app like boost i still can copy the deleted comment. Brb trying on more place now. This is quite serious.

Try delete your comment. It will say deleted but you can still copy it!!
I deleted my comment right now, so in 2h I edit that one

That’s a good test if your federation is working, but if federation isn’t working your edit won’t propagate either.
