I just don’t like Nexus having basically a monopoly on mod hosting. I wish there were more mod hosting sites like Nexus, but not only Nexus.

Good to see it not being hosted on Nexus. I hope to see more mods follow suit and have multiple places that host mods in general.
Did they expect zero preorders and got five?
EDIT: Actually, the fact that they have to even say this tells me this is massive damage control for investors. Ubis stock dropped like a rock in the EU market the second the market opened after the trailer dropped.
Should have been in the game from the start. I mean, I still won’t be playing it, but I feel like all games that are “online” should be required to have an offline playable version as well.
I hope this technology is carried across all of Nintendo’s consoles. Won’t even need emulators anymore if we can just run it natively.
Nintendo in particular, just to spite them, but other consoles would be great too.
The point of paying to play online is to pay for the features and infrastructure to support it.
Otherwise you end up with PS2 Online or Nintendo WFC. Both rampant with horrible lag and cheaters.
Those Logitechs are highly sought after these days
I mean, yeah. The real world sucks. It’s basically one or two steps away from becoming the whack dystopian world in Ghost in the Shell, but without all the cool technology to match.
“We’re making a commercial work, so we want the audience to see it. I don’t care if they say, ‘I don’t get it,’ but I don’t want them to feel unnecessarily uncomfortable. On the other hand, if we make the work completely sterile, people’s immunity will be weakened, and they will all die. Therefore, there is a way of thinking that we should dare to take on the stigma and transmit harmful things to the public.”
I mean, hard to disagree with his sentiment. Seems like classic article author not getting past the translated words and being pedantic. This was an article written because the author read a translated Japanese interview with a Japanese media outlet, NOT a direct interview themselves.
Imagine if no entertainment or media ever showed content considered “unsafe” or “harmful.” So many masterpieces of artwork would just be deleted from existence.
This is interesting, I wonder if Microsoft was able to transfer any of the people that were dropped from Bethesda over to Activision for this. Though I would imagine its not likely there are many located in Poland working in Bethesda studios.
Seems they may have poached some talent from Naughty Dog and CDProjekt, I look forward to seeing what they cook up.
Nyaa.social may have been a bit too on the nose (IYKYK). And as you say, Ani.social is more straightforward, so it was a good pick in the end.
No worries on the transfer, but after reading this I am wondering does this mean you plan to migrate away from EU servers once the potential fix scheduled for 1.19.5 is implemented and verified as a fix? Or will you remain on the EU servers for the forseeable future?
Don’t put them in the dryer and they last longer. Air dry is the best way to preserve these kind of designs.
And then everybody clapped
So basically they have had really bad sales lately and this is how they justify it to their shareholders.
Yes UK, very intelligent. There is no law preventing this currently, which is why people are presenting it to you. So, you know, you can make a law about it.
I guess it really is true that the average human IQ has been decreasing.
Really need those clicks, huh Eurogamer?
They’re really making an article about mods breaking when the game is updated, an event that nearly always happens when any game is updated. Incredible.
I hope the games on XBLA and such that are digital only have been archived for preservation.
I wish someone would compile a list of companies acting in extraordinary bad faith so I could consider that when making purchase decisions.
All of them. Every company does this.
Okay, the crossover with Dead Cells made sense. But this? Why? The Silent Hill crossovers made sense too. But not Castlevania.
Another good option, but more than two is better than just two giant ones.
