    No it didn’t. It ‘demanded’ their release which Hamas would have said nah to obviously.

      Hamas wants to release the hostages, as part of a ceasefire deal that actually secures their interests (mostly freeing Palestinian hostages detainees and loosening the blockade). Like it or not this is the status quo Israel created with their won hands.
