There’s tons of the country outside the coastal regions where land is pretty cheap.

It’s not just that he’s rich. It’s that if he didn’t get released, a PGA event wasn’t ever happening in Louisville again. At least in this case police overreach didn’t cause significant harm.
So far there’s no video of what actually happened as far as I know. That means whatever the cops said is almost definitely not the truth.
It wouldn’t be just delivering aid. Once the military is there it’s a military operation. Their goal can be protecting aid, but that also means they likely have to fire on hamas raids, or even the Israel army at some point and either case is bad for everyone.
You need military personnel from a country willing to do that. No one would trust Israel, Biden isn’t doing that in an election year. Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria don’t really care about Palestinians, or would make things worse with their presence. The US would block a UN presence more than likely. Europe is a bit preoccupied with Ukraine, and wouldn’t put troops into another war zone with limited up side.
What about fat guys? Does that up the average?
I feel for you, the casual racism and sexism against black men is pretty crazy. Used to work with a guy that wore a suit every day in a very casual office, because women wouldn’t get on the elevator with him otherwise.
The way to get charging right is to just build a ton and figure out what works by what gets used. No amount of studying and planning is going to get a charging network right the first try.
Modern farming techniques consider sustainability, the larger problem is countries using traditional methods that are extremely harmful like burning forests.
This is one of the things I find funny about modern day self sufficient communes. Subsistence farming is awful, industrialized farming is less awful, but still far more work than most are willing to ever do.
Every place I worked there were employees that I’m not sure how they had a job. Those people aren’t being contacted by recruiters, and they aren’t leaving voluntarily. Layoffs are a companies chance to remove some of these people.
The problem with the hard pull is that the employees that had options left. Those are generally the better employees.
It’s a balancing act though. A lot of top talent is going to leave either way, so over focusing on them hurts everyone else. Mandatory return to office was a lot more costly than most companies hoped for though. It was essentially a lay-off, but it left companies with pretty much only the bad employees compared to a more traditional approach.
Mortgage backed securities are a huge part of the mortgage market. Without them it would be more difficult to get a mortgage as there would be less liquidity in the market. The low rates caused a problem though, because investors sought better returns than 1-2% and bought real estate directly.
Investment and commodity are different things. You can invest in commodities, but it’s different than investments in the stock market.
I’m not sure housing is even a commodity currently. Commodities tend to be interchangeable and generally are affordable or low margin. None of those is true with housing currently.
5 is a more traditional civ, 6 adds a lot of different things that add new layers, maybe not better things though.
Criminals can’t call the cops…
This makes it sound like inflation isn’t as bad as it is. This is the highest period of inflation in 50 years.
The costs of home maintenance are pretty crazy if you aren’t prepared. The cost of an inspection is basically nothing compared to furnace, a/c, roof, windows, siding, flooring, or structural repair. Most appliances cost the same or more than an inspection as well.
