      It’s absolutely a religion problem

The police didn’t do their jobs in some sense but religion was the root

How so, given a police officer is cited as responsible for killing the person, what has that got to do with religion?

I don’t know maybe the fact that a lynch mob exists in the first place, and the whole blashemy thing been the root cause, maybe people need a bit more critical thinking and less brainwashing from religion.

Assumptions are not critical thinking, as far as I can tell no reason has yet been reported for the police officer shooting.

Ok so it happened in Pakistan, a majority muslin population, where the punishment for blasphemy ranges from a fine to the death penalty. The religion of peace thinks it’s ok to kill someone for saying something bad about some guy, who may or may not have existed as long time ago. Just think about that for more than a minute and tell me that’s not crazy.

The police officer would probably have been part of the mob if they weren’t an officer, being an officer wasn’t the issue, being brainwashed by religion was.

That’s like saying retail was the problem because one of the dudes in the mob was a shop keeper. Look beyond the job.
