      I had to revert to the previous version to send this comment because even opening the comments section on my new version makes my app crash entirely. I sent a crash report too

        What android version are you using? I’m on 8 and have the same problem. A fix is on the way. How did you revert in the meantime? I’m using summit atm

        Same, but I’d lie if I said I’m not missing it. It’s mainly that there is almost no community even remotely as active as some of the same ones I was posting on Reddit.

      Like Lemmy lacks sports contents, so I keep returning to Reddit for dose of sports contents.

      Tap on your in-use account where you go to add another account or switch between accounts. That refreshed and showed all the read/hidden posts for me.

        That feels like a bug. Maybe there should be a setting to chose between permanently hiding (including beyond switching accounts) and hiding until refresh. I would prefer the former and that’s how it was on Sync for Reddit, but it seems there’s an audience for the latter option

        This is what I wish WOULDN’T happen. I switch instances all the time, I hate having to re-hide posts over and over. If I hide a post, please keep it hidden!

      Yeah I’d love this to be an option. I like temporarily hiding read posts to find unread content more quickly, but being able to refresh and see them again.

      Yeahhhh. The current behavior is not how I use the hidden posts feature. It was perfect before and now it’s ruined how I use the feature.

    This is appreciated.

    I wish there were a way to add to the list of supported URLs as a user. Looks like that would be an Android enhancement.

    Is there any mechanism in Android’s intent-handling to make this more flexible today or are we stuck for now?

            No it’s not me. That user I believe is the admin for it. I discovered that it’s a instance for hosting 4wd communities but no user registration. So would like to use it for it’s purpose but navigating links is hard. Going to try and help build but I only use sync to access lemmy.

    Great Update. The improved hidden post behavior is a good step in the right direction. Another feature from Reddit Sync I’m missing is the account selector while commenting.

        Hell yeah these are awesome updates, THANK YOU for app mod tools, I have been waiting for somebody to do it lol. Great work man.

        That being said, could you bring native playback for catbox.moe videos? It’s essentially lemmy’s imgur

        Also redgifs opens the API link and fails downloads instead of opening the actual video

        These are def nitpicks as I know the app is still in beta, thank you for all you’re doing!
