I was playing a little mobile game where a dog was howling at the moon out of loneliness, and you had to successfully do a thing to make the echo come back to the dog so he doesn’t feel so alone. The first time I wasn’t paying attention and failed and the dog was lonely and sad and I literally never played that game again. :(
Am I the only one that completely misses the point of the last panel?

He wanted to be evil, and one of his evil acts was to not pet the dog. In turn the dog got sad and it made him feel so bad he wants to be thrown out like the garbage he is.
