Funny enough lots of speed limits aren’t official and the signs are made up. I know someone who contested a speeding ticket in court by asserting that the stretch of road they were on had no actual speed limit (despite posted signs) and it actually worked because they couldn’t find any official statute or map or anything confirming the speed limit

Most stop signs in parking lots are fake too. Unenforceable.
