I would still prefer a remake like this in a modern infinity engine style engine (like Pillars of Eternity or Divinity Original Sin).

But hot damn 100 devs working on this makes me think I might at least give it a shot for old times’ sake, when it’s ready.

Fallout is tops between the two, but Fallout 2 always held a special place in my heart (and had a slightly better interface).

Can, but probably not. It’s a mod of fo4, and if it’s free and all the content is recreated by the team(meaning no using fo2 asset like voice line), it should be getting a pass.

There’s also another fan mod that’s been in the works for some time now similar to this.

Skywind is an Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind remake being done through Skyrim.

Oh there’s many many many more than just Skywind.

          There’s Skywind and Skyblivion.

And then the Fallout 4 Capital Wasteland team that’s been remaking the DLCs and main game of Fallout 3.

Then there’s the Fallout 4 New Vegas team, which has been doing the same but for New Vegas.

Then there’s the Fallout 2 remaster team mentioned in this article (Project Arroyo).

And then there’s the Fallout 1 remaster team (Project Vault 13).

There’s also mods being developed that are entirely new areas, such as Fallout London, Fallout Miami, and Fallout Cascadia. Along with the Elder Scrolls equivalents of Beyond Skyrim’s teams, Nirn Uncharted, and Apotheosis, which aims to have all the daedric realms.

Despite any blunders Bethesda might have made, their modding community is thriving now better than ever.

Edit: Also all of these projects have Discord servers where they post regular progress updates.

I poked around the Reddit, they only link to social media platforms, no source repository, where are these 100 developers talking and coordinating together?

That got hamstrung by the “next gen” update, unless Bethesda releases another large update of FO4 in the future (unlikely), they should be fine.

You mean like they did the Anniversary Edition update for Skyrim that broke a ton of mods, and then two more updates since then that re-broke a bunch of mods each?

Huh. That’s interesting. Almost as if the love for something and the dedication of its fans is being used as some kind of… source of inspiration and motivation.
