Okay, if you want that, you, Hempstead town, have to pay for all the roads in NYC. And I don’t just mean the cost of paving them, I mean the land value.

Oh what’s that? You can’t afford to spend that much money so you can drive your precious pavement princess? Yeah neither than the city you fucking morons, take the fucking train or better yet don’t go into the city at all, stay in fucking Hempstead.

It’s this weird dynamic where most of the commuters in the NYC metro area are perfectly happy to avoid the hell that is driving if public transit is an option for them, but the handful who choose to drive anyway are the most terminally carbrained people alive.

            Carbrains are so weird.

They love their cars, but can’t seem to fully enjoy them unless EVERYONE drives too, like they need constant reassurance of how normal they are. Then again, these are the dimwits that also enjoy being forced to pay for insurance that will do nothing, ever.

But then also constantly complaining about all the traffic and how all the other drivers are getting in the way of them getting to their treats.

On what fucking grounds are they suing? What right do they have to dictate how the City runs itself? This lawsuit had better be thrown the fuck out.

Also, is there anything redeemable on Long Island at all? I’ve long thought it would probably be best to cleanse it with fire after the revolution. (The people can leave, with the caveat that cops aren’t people.)

I visited Long Island once, and the pizza and bagels are both NYC quality imo, and I really liked Fire Island (which is an LGBT friendly spot in Long Island). and I can see the appeal of wanting a place close to the city to get away from.

But for the most part, it’s in the toilet. All that dense population but it’s hella car dependent and Levittown, the blueprint for suburbs, originated here.

This is the same town that has a bus terminal across the street from the railroad, but doesn’t correlate the bus schedules with the train schedules. So when you take the train there, there’s no way to go anywhere else without waiting 30 minutes for a bus. And if you try to leave town, your bus will reach the station 5 minutes after the train leaves. Transit is not their strength.
