    How in the fuck could that possibly be seen as reactionary nonsense??? That’s quite concerning if that’s what the moderation is like on this community

      if you missed the original, it had text at the top that this image has removed. said something like “men who dislike trump checking their muffins”. it was clearly a joke saying that anyone who dislikes trump is, idk, silly? bootylicious and flexible? (and therefore feminine by right wing standards i’m sure). i’m not sure what the precise nature of the insult was meant to be, but clearly anti trump people were the butt of the joke.

        Yeah, you are right about the text. But I did not expect that a lot of people here would feel so offended by the fact that they were called flexible and bootylicious.

        Plus, I don’t see what rule I broke (except the feelings of the mod).

        P.S. I do not like Trump either.

        Pretty sure it was calling liberal men gay/sissies. So i do not disagree with the mods taking it down. It made no sense and just appeared to be political bullshit.

    gotta say I’ve actually been pleased with Lemmy moderation so far. First time I got moderated I think was one of the admin peeps from my instance telling me to take a chill pill, which was fair and appreciated. And I think that’s probably similar for the couple other times I’ve been actioned so far. I can’t complain, FAFO, and mod/admin peeps seem pretty chill and level-headed about it. I only wish I could say the same about reddit mods, before a bunch of them became Iana’s sexist minions. But so far the Lemmy communities I’ve wandered into don’t seem to have that problem quite yet which is refreshing.

    Also for any ex-reddit mods reading this: if you find IDU/turtle/poodle on the fediverse, avoid them. I will not hesitate to go scorched earth should I have another encounter with them. Otherwise, should we never cross paths again, I’m prepared to let it all go, since they did manage to convince myself and at least dozens of others suspectible to The Pipelines to leave Reddit.
