      Yeah, crowdfunding gets an automatic no from me even if it’s the best looking product I’ve ever seen. Too many people get burned by crowdfunding.

        I feel that way even more when it’s an existing company and crowdfunding can be (in part) market research.

      If you don’t live on the first floor and don’t have an elevator, it matters a lot. There’s zero chance I’d use my current ebike if I weren’t living on the bottom floor. I cannot reliably safely do that. Doing basic maintenance is much harder due to the weight than for aluminum or carbon acoustic bikes, which is necessary to keep a bike reliable and safe to ride. And when you do fall, it has a lot more momentum to hurt you.
