It was kind of as expected:

  • The broken seedling is drying up, no surprise since it never grew new leafs after the accident, I’ll wait a couple of days to see if it actually dies, but I think I’ll have to germinate a new seed.
  • The other seedling already adapted and recovered, it took close to a week to start growing again but seems to be catching up, I expect it to be strong enough to be directly under the sun later this week.

Kinda sad because I tought both were gonna make it.

Meanwhile I’ll try to germinate 5-10 seeds and they all sprout. I grab the healthiest looking ones to plant and chuck the rest. All males…sigh…stress seeds should just not be planted.

That kinda makes sense, makes grow faster and taller so they can sprinkle the pollen down onto the females.

I stick to feminized so I don’t need to stress so much about a pack of 10 males.

I don’t have the resources to be buying seeds every time one fails (the law is incomplete where I live so getting them is expensive) so I try one or two per time, 3 failed due to incomplete guides (the temperature was too low), but now I know how to do it without fail… I hope.
Also I am planting them outside and hope to keep two plants alive forever(ish)… Due to the money problem.

I got so sick of wasting time and resources on seeds that turned out male so now I only used feminized seeds. I grow outdoor btw.

Hey one out of two isn’t bad! I’m glad the one recovered, at least, and it sounds like you didn’t lose much time so that’s great.

Funny enough, the one that survived was the slower one, now to hope is a female.
I’ll germinate another one today since I’m still in good time and weather.
