  • Yeah, Boebert’s on pretty thin ice if I remember correctly from the last election. I think she barely won. And I think MGT only won because her supporters basically made death threats against her opponent and his family so he dropped out. And Gaetz, well Florida is basically a lost cause at this point. Too many Republicans there and they’ll vote R regardless of how shitty DeSantis makes Florida. There’s already a ton of crap with Disney and immigrant workers, which is hurting business, but they’ll still vote for him (or any R) because of the R.

Edge is also built on Chromium so it’s basically a different Chrome skin. It does do a few things somewhat differently than Chrome. I’m not shilling for Edge as I just switched from Brave (another Chromium browser) to Firefox, and I keep edge “clean” in case I come across a website that doesn’t want to work in Firefox or Chrome.

  • This article didn’t really give any new reasons not to use WhatsApp. All the reasons stated in the article are already known. I thought this article was about a new breach or something, but it’s a rehash of info that’s been around a while. The article is also a few months old, dating back to April.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, people will use whatever app they’re most comfortable with and whatever app their friends use, regardless of security (“I got nothing to hide!”) or features (“I don’t care about x or y!”). Then you end up like me, using several different apps. That’s not necessarily a bad thing as I like using different apps and seeing how features differ from app to app, like how an app shows link previews, or if it can display a meme by pasting the link in the text box vs having to download the image and attach it in-line. But it’s hard to get people to switch when a lot of people don’t care.

  • Keep in mind that this is a Trump appointed judge and she’s essentially all in on the Trump train. There have been articles in the past month or so speculating what she’d do, whether push this off until after the election (which is what Trump wanted, and if he won, he’d make sure it went away or got buried, and would basically destroy her reputation as a credible judge, so that would play into her career) or have it before the election, which is obviously what Trump did not want. I think she’s splitting the difference here, having it before the election, but months after what Jack Smith had requested.

    FTA:

In an order issued in Ft. Pierce, Fla., U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon says the evidence in the case is “extremely voluminous and will require substantial time to review” and includes classified and top secret documents that require special handling procedures. She also says the case meets the legal definition of a “complex” case, requiring a more extended trial schedule.

This sounds like she’s trying to appease both sides as much as possible with minimal damage to her credibility, reputation, and career.

  • They want more people in the work force. I’ve been working since I was 16. They just want to squeeze as much labor out of us as they can. Lower the age to 12 and that’s 4 more years. Raise the retirement age couple of years, and put people in a position where they can’t really retire (hence getting rid of student loan debt forgiveness). Hell, a lot of people already can’t retire. We’re born, basically have about 4 years off, then it’s school, maybe college. Most people are already in the work force in some capacity by high school. And that’s basically it. Work til we die. That’s our life lol. Oh, except for the ultra rich. They don’t have to do shit.
