  • It’s more the opposite. The hardware level updaters, are usually small pieces of non-updateable code called bootloaders. These are purposefully made small, slow, and ROBUST. They do parity checks on everything, status checks, store local copies of data transfer in weird esoteric ways to not be disturbed during the actual update.

The issue is that you can make it work 99% of the time without issue way faster. But bricking a car that then has to be towed for free to a service center and flashed is super expensive. So the fix is slow and robust updates that happen when the user isn’t even there.

  • You’re too entrenched in the stink to even know.

The US ranks 129th in the GPI out of 163. That’s pretty awful. And when you actually live outside the US, you realize just how awful it is.

Just because most Americans are too brainwashed to notice it is not normal to be in perpetual fear, to have guns around you everywhere, to treat everyone like a threat, to have a constant surveillance of your property because of theft and vandalism, etc. These are not normal things in the world. These are American normals because the US is a shithole country.

I spend most of my time in a country where I don’t lock my front door. I leave my wallet, phone, laptop, etc just out and about and walk away for hours sometimes to have fun in a park, beach, or just walk around the city. Nobody touches it. My car keys are on my windshield, just like everybody else. Comes in handy when the fuel delivery and car detail service comes around. That is what can be. The US is nothing like it, and won’t ever be.

  • It was mentioned, father is dead. He was born during the rule period for babies from 1952 to 1986. You only got US citizenship to an American parent if the parent lived in the USA for 10 years BEFORE the child was born. Otherwise, it doesn’t count. Or of course child born in the USA. But this guy was born in Canada. He missed the window to apply for citizenship before he was 18.

So he doesn’t get it. That simple.

What he’s trying to do is prove his dad lived in the US for 10 years before he was born, but that’s difficult to do with a dead parent as those are not records that are usually kept. For example how many paystubs do you have of your grandparents from the 1940’s? None most likely.

They never passed previous tests of citizenship. They just claimed to be a citizen and the different US systems weren’t linked so he was never caught. Now they are linked. And he was caught.

  • Yes with the additional caveat of when a country picks and chooses when to enforce laws and against whom, the laws are made up. If abortion is illegal, then it’s illegal. Just like choosing to prosecute petty crimes mostly for minorities and ignoring them for others. Choosing to prosecute white collar crimes when there’s a media outrage, but otherwise just paying a civil fine and forgetting about it. This means there isn’t a justice system, it’s rigged.

Many who vote to take rights away from people, are in a protected class of some kind where they believe it won’t affect them. It will only affect people they don’t care about, so who cares? Make them care.

Send all the daughters of suburban white women who are getting mail order abortion drugs illegally, to prison. Right to jail.
