Meh, even now with more background knowledge, I wouldn’t say they’re really good for understanding how programs flow. They’re pretty neat for finding out how a hand-optimized part of code works though.

C then NASM assembly, enjoyed poking around in how programs worked using hex editors and disassemblers, chasing strings to be offensive. Then decided I wanted to learn how to actually make the programs, and I’d heard how fast C and Assembly were, so off I went.

Unfortunately no, that again sounds like steering a very intimate part of someone else’s life.

It’s more prudent and tactful to be a good friend who listens, and the two of you go out to have fun whether it’s hiking or checking out a restaurant, or what have you.

If they seem unhappy about something, talk with them, be a good friend. But don’t go digging into someone else’s life, preloaded with suggestions, that’s not organic, and a poor-quality friendship.

Not my business to artificially accelerate someone else’s path through life.

I guess you elected not to read the original question. I’m looking for something to support using my phone to access things like the gym and the subway, in a privacy respecting manner. If that’s not possible, I can continue with my regular methods.
