Interesting. It’s maybe been like a year or so for me. I have had to repatch a couple times. Good to know I got more bullshit to look forward to.

What’s wrong with youtube vanced? It works just fine for me.
Yes, this, of all things, is the one thing sowing doubt in Justice Alito’s impartiality. Before this he’s been an absolute model of impartiality. No one has ever been more impartial.
I genuinely do not get why people get so angry about the color of a character’s skin in a work of historical FICTION. I dgaf about things being historical accurate in my video games. Does the guy look cool? Yup he sure do. Is the game gonna be good? It’s Ubisoft so probably not. But let’s assume that it will be for arguments sake.
Why is it so important to you that the character not be black? Assassin’s creed as a franchise has been around for like what? Almost two decades now? And in all that time we’ve basically played as only white characters (with some exceptions). I don’t see anything wrong with increased representation in works of art or entertainment. The more representation we see in media for any minority group the less likely it will be for the kids that grow up playing these games to grow up as racist assholes. And if you belong to a minority group, seeing someone with your skin tone represented in media will make you less likely to grow up with internalized self loathing. Like you might if all you see in media is the white dude saving the day.
At the end of the day these are works of entertainment. Their purpose isn’t historically accuracy. It’s entertainment and escapism. If we can’t escape racism in a fucking video game how tf are we supposed to prevent it in real life?
Nice, a Lemmy post of a picture of a Tumblr post citing reddit for a completely bogus fact. We truly are using all of our brains these days.
Yeah, and me being a fucking idiot proves it more.
Well I’m an idiot then. It looks just like the text boxes in Vagrant story. At least what the text boxes look like in my head lol. I stand by it being great though.
Ironically, him being a fucking idiot actually proves his point.
I mean. This is what Ubi have been doing forever. Just about all of there games allow you to link with Ubisoft connect for some little in-game tchotchkes. But they never require it. I remember getting the Altair outfit from it way back in Assassin’s Creed 2.
It’s not like Ubi are new to PC gaming like Sony is. Doesn’t make sense for them to change tact now. This is just an easy win for them riding off the back of Sony’s blunder.
God, Vagrant Story was such a good game. And I typically don’t like JRPGs like at all. Just something about VS really hooked me.
Lol, guys it’s not acceleration it’s just the exact definition of acceleration. Which is definitely not acceleration.
Definitely the third option. They’re going to wait until Helldivers hype dies down then quietly reimplement the requirement when much less people are tuned in. Guaranteed.
Yeah that whole Dolphin thing was weird. Seemed like valve just didn’t want to deal with the legal headaches of fighting Nintendo in court over an application that didn’t really need to be on the steam store in the first place.
Can’t say I blame them really.
Personal opinion time: I don’t think emulators belong on a commercial store anyway. Keep them on their own websites or Github. Putting them on a store like steam is just asking for trouble.
And music streaming is only as good as it is because artists are getting completely shafted at every turn by both the streaming services and the record labels.
Fucking hell this is so good.
Damn. Hifi Rush was probably my favorite game last year. And that’s saying a lot for a year absolutely packed with crazy good releases.
Hopefully the devs maintained the rights to the IP, though I somehow doubt it, so they can still make the sequel under a different umbrella.
Is that Eric Andre doing his best Jet Set Radio cosplay? Because he’s kinda nailing it.
Yeah I do genuinely think the pocket operators are cool. At least I did when I thought they were cheap. Had no idea they got that expensive. Though that’s obviously not at all expensive when you’re talking about audio gear. So I’m willing to give them a modicum of leeway there.
Imo TE has always been a shady company in terms of business decisions. I still for the life of me cannot understand why the OP-1 is over 2 grand. It’s a music making machine with a cruddy keybed that’s not even volocity sensitive that’s also intentionally limited in terms of how you can use it.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I definitely think it’s a cool little device capable of doing cool things. But there’s no way in hell this tiny thing is worth 2k. You can spend 1/4th of the price on something like an elektron Digitakt or a polyend play and get very similar functionality in an arguably better more robust package.
TE are a boutique company that intentionally releases overpriced products so they can have this reputation of being a “premium” company. Just like Apple. If it weren’t for their pocket operators (which are arguably closer to being toys than actual audio equipment) I wouldn’t think they’d have anything remotely worth buying.
Side note: the playdate looks adorable. But, similarly to the OP-1, is very overpriced for what it does.
That question mark instills a lot of confidence.
