This group gave me the incentive to start properly investing and a little bit of hope I may one day get to retire early. I’m in my early 30s so still a fair ways off, but as it’s said the best time to invest/save is 10 years ago and the next best time is today.
Try and take a little time for yourself if you can, an afternoon off or even an hour or two to just relax. All the stuff you’re doing is hard work and you deserve a little me time. You don’t want to burn out before your wedding. Congrats on the house and the wedding, I hope everything goes how you want it to.
I saw a video claiming if you turn 90 degrees every time you hear it go off it doesn’t ever hit you. Haven’t tried it yet personally.

Do you have a game of choice? I’ve just finished running a Dresden files accelerated game which was a lot of fun.
I wanted to love Quantum Break so much but it was just a buggy mess on my pc, I spent hours messing with settings but it just wouldn’t run smoothly. I still managed to push through to mission 4 or so. Maybe I’ll give it another go.
I’m working my way through forbidden west as well. I’m really enjoying it. It’s always good to spend more time in an interesting game world. I really appreciate the more free form climbing system in this one, not quite breath of the wild climbing but way better than grab the yellow ledges only.
I love hiking. I think you’ve got a decent start with what you’ve written already. I would advise getting familiar with navigating yourself with a map and compass, a lot of places don’t have phone signal so at a minimum download your map and make sure you’ve got the battery to last the trip and some extra. I definitely agree with your thoughts about carrying more water than you think you’ll need, generally water will be the heaviest thing will carry but one of the most important.
I love hearing about DF but it’s so dense that I was never able to get into it myself. Plus I struggled with the art, or lack of it on the earlier builds.
It’s not the best community I’ve played with but it’s definitely up there. Deep Rock Galactic still holds the title of best online community I’ve ever been part of. HD2 is very good though, the vast majority of random games I’ve joined have been good experiences only a couple of griefers.
