I myself started with Suse many years ago, and that was a mess, to be honest. But: it forced me to learn. And we are best, when we are forced to learn. Humans are hardwired that way, I think.

TempleOS is pretty sweet.
For a Windows user, Linux Mint is a nice alternative, similar interface and very stable.
Especially if you are mostly using browser based tools.
