Steam Sales used to destroy my wallet because there were so many good deals on games I didn’t have. For the last few years though, I don’t know if the deals have been worse or if I just don’t need any more games.

I miss the flash sales and daily deals. Buying at the right time was a game itself! Plus the 70-90% off sales were fire!

I think the games have gotten worse. I can’t find anything I’m excited to play :/

With “worse”, I think I mean that the games are not particularly fun or innovative anymore. It all seems like the same as before, with better graphics.

Yeah currently there is very little reason to buy on sale. You aren’t missing out. No more flash deals, no special pricing. Nothing to miss out on.

Every single game has a regular price, and a sale price. The sale price is the price it will be on sale - every sale throughout the year. If it’s 10% for Halloween then it’s gonna be 10% for Summer, Autumn, New Years, for years to come.

Just put everything on the wishlist and buy whatever you are going to play right between now and next sale.

I was able to pick up Street Fighter and Baldur’s Gate before I left my job. They’be been holding me for months now. Two of the best games to come out this year are real life savers when I’m stressed the fuck out.

Somewhere around 150 myself but once I get all the achievements on my current one (Its part of a set I’ve done so on.) I should be able to go through more at a good keel.

Everyone always talks about Backlogs. Do y’all really have such a big list of games that you bought, and still want to play?

Like sure I got a couple Humble Bundle games that came for free. But full disclosure - I never would’ve bought them on my own, and I’m not all that interested in playing them. I would only be deluding myself by saying “Yeah I’ll get to them”.

I am a bit of a hoarder, so yeah, I have quite a lot of games I would like to play and haven’t had time (family, work, other hobbies). Some of those are definitely worth the time so I’m positive about finishing them once the time’s right (Disco Elysium, Dishonored series, Pillars of Eternity, Divinity: OS, Deus Ex series, etc.).

I often bought bundles (humble, fanatical, indiegala, …) for one game I was interested in and I’m also claiming most freebies (just to let Epic know I’m here only to get them free ones and never intended to buy anything from this company). So apart from those I do want to play I have hundreds I am sure I will never touch.

Winter is December, January, February for the entire Northern Hemisphere.

      • Spring (March, April, May)
      • Summer (June, July, August)
      • Autumn/Fall (September, October, November)
      • Winter (December, January, February).

Do they not teach this in school anymore?

What do you count as the northern hemisphere. Cuz in Norway theres already sbow for a few weeks. And the snow usually last til ish end april or middle may in my experience. Proper winter ends in april tho.

Correct, in Scandinavia winter is as long as you can drive on the frozen lake. When the first car sinks due to thawing, spring has arrived.
