Single-player video games or a nice long sit-down shower.

But NEVER both at the same time.

In my case it’s mostly digging into a specific rabbit hole of knowledge, be it video essays about the geography, or looking up a series of historical events.

Leemy.world choses what you get to see on other instances.

Tobacco pipe making. Buy a predrilled briar block for ~$35. A Dremel with a few bits to quickly get it to shape… Hand sand for 10+ hours. Oil and wax it. I very rarely smoke a pipe, usually only when around others that smoke a pipe. Think I’m on my 9th pipe. I have given most of them away but have a few I’ve kept for myself. Every once in awhile just pick them up to appreciate how nice the wood turned out.

    Free

Reading. Public libraries or Project Gutenberg etc.

Actively listening to full albums from start to finish. Mostly without lyrics. Jazz, Classical, Ambient, Movie Scores. Public libraries have music options too.

Jogging. Start slow, get outside. I used a Zero to 5k app. Very simple.

Calisthenics. Body weight exercise. Parks sometimes have the outdoor equipment.

    Learn yoga. Free app/videos.

    Not free.

Learn to cook. Learn about the science of cooking. Learn how balance flavors. Practice your cooking skills, mise en place, knife work etc. Use actual recipes to understand standard type’s of cuisine’s(French, Italian, Japanese etc).

Leathercraft. You can make useful things for yourself and other.

Photography. You can start with a cellphone. Real cameras are more expensive. Learn about the different types of photography. Portrait, landacape, street etc. Learn about the exposure triangle. Learn about composition and lighting(natural and artificial).

Woodworking. Handtool woodworking is less expensive but more time consuming. Start small, don’t buy all the tools.

I spend a lot of time at my model train club with others, but sometimes I just stay home and put together a kit.

grind a game like valorant if I’m feeling good or maybe some valorant if im not feeling good sometimes ill look for a random game to borrow from the internet but i usually just go back to valo or minecraft. it takes a lot for a game to rope me in.

when im able to though i rock climb—with people is great— climbing alone though is great too listening to music and climbing is gods gift or smth

i also will research some sudden interest for a bit then get bored of it. watching long videos is always fun. sleeping is fun. drawing can be enjoyable or making art in general. i havent written in a while but i used to write stories sometimes

Keep in mind that I love community theater, so a few rough spots aren’t a problem. Most of what I watch is in the Star Trek universe.

        • Str Trek: Phase II - Nice live action TOS-era
        • Time Warp Trilogy - Animated TNG era. Once you get used to the voice acting, this is one of my favorite Trek series bar none.
        • Starship Intrepid - Live action TNG and future. Cool stories.
        • Starship Farragut - TOS live action. Interesting characters and stories.

There are tons more, but these come to mind right away. There are also some fun Star Wars and Indiana Jones fan productions. Do a search and see what turns up.

I’ve been learning 3D modeling in blender for about 2 months. Lately decided to also start drawing to be able to make some reference sketches.

Lately I’ve been playing Space Engineers. Holy shit can that game eat up the time.

The other day I spent ten hours drilling rock to collect enough minerals for my rover. Then I flipped the rover.

Programming, replay old pc games from the '90s, check out new music, explore business ideas, crafts, reformat a laptop and put a different OS on it, pick a Zelda game and start a replay, do paint touch-ups on the walls. Hpping to add gardening to this list this summer; getting rid of the blackberries is still ongoing.
