Weekly recommendation thread for older records. Things you keep going back to and want other people to appreciate.

Fuming Mouth - The Grand Descent (ffo: Gatecreeper, Trap Them, Nails)

I stumbled upon the band completely by accident, while skimming through Triple B’s catalog. While not in line with the usual catalog of the label, it really is a nice blend of darkish death metal, crust and hardcore. Coupled with great artwork and Kurt Ballou’s polish - the record really is a full package.

No Time - You’ll Get Yours LP (ffo: slower Snapshot, The Flex, Violent Reaction)

I wish this band was less obscure and managed to record more than the LP and couple of singles. A very in-your-face-fuck-the-government-church-and-you record. It’s fast. And simple.

Arkangel – Prayers Upon Deaf Ears (ffo: H8000)

Technically not a H8000 band, but the aesthetically and lyrically it’s indistinguishable from bands like Congress or Liar. I somehow managed to miss it in it’s prime time.
