Long story short, I have an old xbox one controller with a micro-usb, and xbox series s with the usb-c. I have a rechargeable battery for each, but have been considering replacing the worn out xbox one controller. Can I just use the battery on any new controller I get, even if it has usb-c, or does it need to be an older model?

Thanks in advance!

If you’re talking about the official Xbox rechargeable battery pack, it is interchangeable. I moved mine from my Xbox One X controller to my Series X controller.

Oh I indeed meant the battery pack, probably should have clarified. Thank you for the confirmation that it works!
