Can you see this comment?
yep
Interesting, I tried making another post but it’s not showing up on lemmy.world. I wonder what’s going on.
Test
Interesting, I can see both of these posts from Mastodon but not lemmy.world.
I have never been able to subscribe to a Kbin magazine at all on my selfhosted instance (still rocking
0.17.4
at the moment)… Federation is pretty rough on Lemmy at the moment in general it seems. It seems to be fixed now. I just manually added the missing kbin posts by searching for them. they will probably also federate now
bro I took a bad time to be busy for a few days lmao, there are so many new posts here
That’s great!
It’s still not working :(
I can add the posts manually but they don’t show up automatically anymore
It’s really sad that within days of the reddit exodus the main feature of lemmy seems to have fallen apart. I don’t think lemmy was ready for the huge amount of people there are now. I hope it gets fixed soon, I don’t want to go back to reddit (I’ve already deleted my account). maybe I’ll just go touch some grassI don’t think lemmy was ready for the huge amount of people there are now.
I think its ok cause we are still early adopters. we can withstand everythink. No video player, broken upvotes, broken federation, broken ui, dead communities, terrible communities searches, duplications, defederations, unresponsive servers etc.
maybe I’ll just go touch some grass
This always helps.
Are we early adopters? I feel like I was an early adopter when I joined a month ago. and maybe I’m even not, there are people who where already here a few years now. but now the third party apps have shut down I think most new people are just normal “adopters”. reddit gave a single fucking month which was just not enough time for lemmy to prepare
This current federation issue is pretty major would have been caught with testing but because of pressure on the devs it just didn’t
Just in case it sounds like I’m shitting on the devs here, I completely understand how this happened. It’s completely stupid to expect two devs to iron out all the issues in such a complex piece of software with such a close deadline, just an unfortunate situation really
Are we early adopters?
I am definitely a new user and early adopter.

Lemmy is still in the early stages of development despite the fact that so much time has passed.

I think these people are still on reddit. The entry threshold is still too high for them.
Maybe I am wrong
I just felt a lot of the people here where not treating lemmy as early access software
it seems a lot more stable after 0.18.1 thoughit seems a lot more stable after 0.18.1 though
That’s true
