I have a bare bottom quarantine tank that is very low to the ground and doesn’t produce a good siphon for water changes or vacuuming detritus.

Does anybody have a good recommendation for an electric pump that I can use for water changes or vacuuming?

I’m thinking something self-priming, variable speed, not submersible?

I had a similar issue for my sumps and ended up just buying a small 50 gph pump and sticking some clear hose on it. I would put the end in the water bucket and drop the pump in to sump/tank. This works for water change but it doesn’t really work for cleaning the tank. For me I was nearly draining my sumps and cleaning by hand then turning the flow back on when maintenance was done. This may not work well since it sounds like you don’t want to fully drain the tank right?
