She doesn’t want the inconvenience of dealing with her own toddler when there are sweaty actors in character costumes to be hugged, joyfully teary selfies to be set up, taken and shared to insta for bragging purposes and overpriced merch made in China to buy up.

As a small advice, feel free to ban those users. The sidebar and pinned threads are there and clear enough, the recommendation if they don’t like this content is to block the community and move on, if they do not get that, preventing them from seeing it by banning them seems a reasonable reaction.

I don’t mind when people comment out of curiosity but it’s annoying when they double down after being told what the community is about. It’s not productive to comment on things you don’t understand/are not interested in learning about.

I just learned about Sherri Papini, and it reinforces how multiple types of privilege allow people to get away with so much. It also reminded me how much depravity people are capable of. People don’t like to believe others they think they relate to are capable of lying and manipulating because it can be scary to feel like someone “like them” can do those things. People are wild. Canker sores can be triggered by a lot of things, like stress, acidic things, brushing your teeth too vigorously, hormonal changes, allergies. So yes it is possible, but I tend to not believe anything she says.

Canker sores and cold sores are very different. Cold sores are a known virus, and there isn’t an exact known reason why cancer sores develop, just known triggers (I work in dentistry.)
