Probably so, yes. And honestly that’s the right and the only outcome, sure. And that outcome is in their faces all the time; it’s not like they can have any illusions about it. Remember so-and-so, and so-and-so, that we used to hang out with? That body on the road crumpled up that we just drove past, that was one of those guys. Better we’re moving on from this area, then, I guess. Are we eating soon? I’m looking forward to it. Maybe tomorrow I’ll die and be another of those crumpled up guys on the side of the road, or one of the burned out twisted things inside one of the vehicles, and just stay like that and everyone else going past and looking at what used to be me. Maybe it won’t happen tomorrow. Looking forward to eating tonight.

Like I said, that’s why his voice sounds like that.

I remember reading an interview with a random Russian soldier who said that’s just how it is in Russia.

Perhaps it’s indoctrination ? like the pilgrims at hajj keeling over and dieing from heatstroke, the indoctrination runs as deep with Russians ?

I certinaly have nothing but disdain for my country (Australia) so I don’t get the whole nationlism/patriotism ferver in the first place .

      ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
