TV doctor Michael Mosley, known for popularising the 5:2 diet, has gone missing while on holiday on the Greek island of Symi, his agent confirmed.
A local Facebook group reported that Dr Mosley had set off on a walk at 13:30 local time on Wednesday but had not returned by Thursday morning.

Been listening to the updates on radio - it’s worrying.
My auntie went to Symi every year as a friend of hers runs a bar there and I know it gets really hot there and that, outside the towns and villages, it can be pretty isolated and rocky underfoot. I definitely wouldn’t have gone strolling off on my own there as one slip can leave you at the bottom of a rocky slope in the baking sun.

He has had a weird amnesia attack before but Symi is pretty unpopulated and barren, so there just weren’t many places he could have wandered off to.
