I don’t know enough on the topic to distinguish mirrors, but I am pretty sure as concerns the instance rules all of those are fine. In my personal opinion, the answer to your last question is “Yes,” but I also realize that arguing such a thing to someone whose attitude is oriented around personal entitlement (such as OP) is a waste of everyone’s time.
