"The Portland Police Bureau (PPB) said it ran another multi-agency stolen vehicle operation on Monday. East Precinct officers partnered with multiple neighboring agencies, which resulted in the recovery of 10 stolen cars and one gun, plus seven arrests.

Portland police said this type of collaborative enforcement effort has proven to be effective. According to police data, there has been a decrease in stolen cars reported year-over-year. Police said in March of last year, there were 747 cars reported stolen, compared to 442 cars this March – a 40% drop."
