The U.S. Navy on Monday became the third branch of the military to no longer have a Senate-confirmed leader for the first time in history, as a Republican senator continues to block military nominations.

Long since time the prez appoint some ‘acting chiefs’ – this represents a clear and present threat, and not just from our rivals on the world stage.

      Usually when someone doesn’t understand what I’m saying, I assume I haven’t been clear enough and I’ll explain further. Had you asked, i would have done so now. But you didn’t, so I’ll leave it at:

      I wasn’t implying that the US’s world stage rivals were literal individual people auditioning to act in an actual theatre production.
