I’ve seen this a lot in my research every family seems to have one even my family tree has a women some claim was a Native American(or about 3 other races the story isn’t clear) but what’s up with this?

Everyone wants to be special. There are countless family trees where a distant ancestor was royalty, or a celebrity, or someone else who was notable. Nobody wants to accept that their family is ordinary, so they believe the tenuous links that give them an interesting story.

Granted there are lots of people wanting to find skmething interesting in their family line. On the other hand, it’s not THAT uncommon for American families to have a native in their family tree. And basically everyone on earth is descended from some kind of royalty.
