Lena Lake is Lovely.
Last year we neglected to the ‘Hard’ rating for Upper Lena Lake and found out - I still think my wife got a stress fracture on the way up, it was a miserable trip back down.
Wow! It was the first trip for a lot of the people in my group. Glad we opted to just end it at the lower lake!
Lower Lena is a great first trip!
I should clarify - the stress fracture wasn’t from Upper Lena, but it happened on that hike. And by miserable I mean painful (for her) and painfully slow (for the rest).
But… Upper Lena is a hard hike. No joke.
