So just over a week to the next season. There are likely 1-3 more people coming through the door. But despite that uncertainty (and putting transfers to one side), what do you hope happens this season? What is a good season? What is acceptable?

For me:

  • Part of a clear top 3. (Hopefully more than that)
  • our exit from the EL has to be against a good team if we don’t win it.
  • hopefully good domestic cup runs (but they always depend on the draw).

I trust Klopp regardless of how many more get signed.

How is everyone else feeling?

I’m setting expectations low. For me a good season is one where the new midfield integrates quickly, and 'pool play football that is competetive. Sadly its the reality of 3+ seasons worth of inaction when it comes to midfield rejuvenation transfers, instead cramming it into one off season.

Also really excited to see the attacking line up grow in cohesion and understanding. Nunez looks more lean which could be exciting.

Finally, Trent in midfield - how this looks long term, whether we miss the goal assists from Rb will be interesting.

Last season we had a few games here and there where I felt “ok, we’re back, this is how we’re supposed to play.” If we can play like that while integrating our new players and let the kids (Bajcetic) grow into their role I’m happy.

Top four should be our goal I feel.

One more midfielder and preferably an RB would be great
