I’m part of a student body and have the task of drafting up a statement that condemns antisemitism and anti-muslim racism on campus and makes clear that both jews and Palestinians/Muslims should feel safe there. Has anyone across a statement in that vain that was any good? Or statements on Israel-Palestine in general that would both be adequate but also don’t scare away people who think anti-zionism is antisemitism (I could of course change some parts)

I guess the point is that all students should feel safe, no? Mentioning those groups specifically, and especially the conflict in Israel/Palestine might achieve the exact opposite. It differentiates between Jews, Palestinians, Muslims and “others”, implying a focus on their differences rather than what they have in common.

I believe a broader approach might be more helpful: “In light of the ongoing conflicts around the world, we want to remind everyone that all students are welcome and protected on campus, regardless of nationality, religion, gender identity or sexuality. We stand for inclusivity and condemn all violence.” Something like that.
