You’re missing the point. The president doesn’t make the laws, congress does. Who you vote for president doesn’t matter in that regard.

The alternative is a fascist dictator wannabe.

Ok, you’re contradicting yourself there with those two lines, why should anyone care about the “fascist dictator wannabe” if he doesn’t have any real power

Make up your mind and put that cake down

You americans already have a fascist, how many times do you need to vote for the “lesser” evil before you recognize you are still supporting evil?

OK let me vote for third nonexisting option that I pencil in and waste my vote.

We all have the options are given to us, fuck do you want me to do about that?

The issue of changing the structure of the system the currently exists is the problem. Until the root causes addressed, the solution lies in congress making changes. Since I don’t see that happening anytime soon, how is one one supposed to change the voting options?

And here you see the real problem. You confine yourself to thinking that the options given to you by the bourgeois class are the only options. Have you considered there is more to political power than voting? I doubt the so called “root causes” you’re thinking of can be changed, at least in America, so if you really cared about harm reduction maybe try joining an org, volunteering for food not bombs, supporting pro Palestine protests etc, and these are just the mildest forms of direct action. Those madlads that smashed up the elbit factory did infinitely more to help the people of Gaza than you voting for biden ever will.

Your proposed solution is violence against a private company instead of voting and having a rational discourse within the established societal system? I should give up voting to become a terrorist? Wow. Much intelligence. So smart.

              I should give up voting

Why not? You said yourself the president doesn’t have any real power; you may as well vote for your cat.

Also those guys aren’t terrorists, they were trying to stop a factory that produces weapons for a country that’s literally involved in a genocide.

voting and having a rational discourse within the established societal system

Go have that rational discourse from Gaza; charge your phone and stream your opinions on twitch.

              Having a rational discourse.

This has been attempted for quite a while to no awhail. Since this was not listened to, violence is the necessary next step

Yes, causing damage to the bourgeoisie is more effective than picking which bourgeoisie is in charge of the two available options, and its how every civil right was won. Sabotage is one step above strikes, and dragging a factory owner out of his home and beating him to death is only a few steps higher on the “listen to us or we’re not playing” scale

According to your own logic, your vote is (even more) wasted if you spend it on Biden or Trump. You need to get rid of the MIC, the president doesn’t hold any real power and is just a figurehead. As such it does no good to give approval to either of the two enthusiastic supporters of the MIC

Presidents aren’t dangerous, but will magically be dangerous if trump gets elected?
