Do you miss phones with replaceable batteries? By 2027, you won’t anymore because, by law, almost every smartphone will have them again.

    Yeah, gonna need some confirmation on that part. Either way it’s a huge win for right to repair, but it’s unlikely they’ll be “user replaceable” in the same vein as say the LG G5 was unless the toolless aspect is actually required.

      I search some and everything I found just said easy replaceable with common tools. There was nothing about no tools.

      Plus easy replaceable is very vague. Guess we just have to wait for the final law/bill (not sure what the EU calls it) to come out. But I think any dreams of popping the back off a phone and swap in a new battery are just that dreams. That is never coming back.
