What can you get to within a 15-minute walk of your house?

A recent YouGov survey asked Americans what they think they should be able to get to within a 15-minute walk of their house.

Of these choices, I can currently walk to all of them from my apartment, aside from a university (no biggie, I’m not currently studying, although there is a Tafe within walking distance), a hospital, and a sports arena.

How many can you get to with a 15 minute walk from your house?

What’s the point in being able to walk to a gas station anyway?

I imagine “gas station” also includes the convenience store that’s often part of it

@Trainguyrom ironically I find this somewhat important when I rent Zipcars near where I live. I don’t own a car and walk everywhere and take public transit, but being withing a certain radius of a gas station nearby and in a familiar area helps at the start or end of trips. I’m not sure why they added it, but to me to least it makes sense. It’s the distance, not the walking per se.
