A few months ago I told the American people I did not trade arms for hostages. My heart and my best intentions tell me that’s true, but the facts and evidence tell me it is not.

Yeah but so what? Only the most naive possible person would expect:

for the Secret Service to not want to cover it up

Of course there’s cocaine at the white house, and of course the USSS tried to cover it up. I ain’t even mad about that.
I find it hard to believe that a conservative — a political philosophy for adults who realize the world isn’t perfect and that political structure needs to adapt to that — would be upset about this.
If you really think the secret service shouldn’t have tried to cover it up, why do you support people keeping their weapons? After all if we can expect the government to not break the rules, why have a second amendment?
