The Biden administration’s decision ends new leasing in the Powder River Basin in Wyoming and Montana, the nation’s biggest coal-producing region.

  For years, they have fought to restore an Obama-era moratorium on coal mining on federal lands.
  
  They have/he has been trying, but lawsuits by Republicans stood in the way.
