lol the faith disappeared when you tried to compare Muslims with white supremacists.

One of these things is not like the other….unless white supremacy is your religion, in which case get help.

The other user’s comment suggests the point that not all white supremacists are bad, whereas most Muslims do not beat up others. Since white supremacy is itself the belief that one race is superior to others, that makes them the worse one. Therefore, your argument is irrelevant.

If I misunderstood their comment then I will allow them to clarify.

If I did not misunderstand and you disagree, that shows how little you know about Islam.

@BobaFuttbucker Interesting. You had accused the OP of sharing this post in order to exaggerate the danger of violent Muslims. @jimbolauski accused you of doing the same thing about Nazis.

Exaggerating the violence of a particular group is not the same as saying that the particular group is violent.

Well I didn’t bring Nazis into this conversation, and it doesn’t make sense to unless you’re making the point that they’re not all bad.

It’s really not though, you’re either choosing consciously to ignore the point that even making this comparison suggests that not all nazis are bad, or you genuinely don’t understand how bad of an argument that is.

Instead you’re shifting the goalposts to frame nazis as a USA minority so as to escape directly addressing this point cause it would look bad on your other social media feeds. This is an equally bad take.

You may not be denying it, but you’re certainly defending the attempted logic.

lol you did not just try and compare Islam and nazis to pizza. You understand the difference, yeah?

Let me try this using your own comparison: If another pizza place made a pizza exclusively out of shit, there’s no defending shit pizzas. Even if you personally are a fan. It’s still literal shit.

If you’re comparing Islam and Nazis, then they must be like-for-like in order for your comparison to make sense.

So is Nazism a religion? And are you seriously defending it right now? Are you sure you want to die on that hill?

Orrrrrrrrrr you just don’t understand how broken this particular analogy is.

The only reason you would ever bring nazis into this analogy is to make the point that they’re not all bad. I’m simply asking for that clarification. Because if yes, you’re a nazi sympathizer. If no, then you don’t understand the analogy.

Or you can just keep tagging me and refusing to directly answer to make your federated account look good.

@BobaFuttbucker I think it’s not smart to make sweeping statements like “everyone in this group is bad”. Nazism is bad, and if you had to draw #Nazi names out of a hat, you’d probably find a bad person 9 out of 10 times.

The analogy isn’t broken, you just don’t like it because you disagree with the conclusion. In your mind, the threat of Nazis can’t possibly be exaggerated, because you REALLY don’t like them. I don’t like them either, but that doesn’t make them the greatest threat known to man.

Oskar Schindler was a good man. He was a Nazi.

The thing is, people are not good or bad. We are all nuanced. There are several Nazis honored by the Jews.

If a Jew can honor a nazi, then maybe you should see the world for what it is. Complicated.

The point which you’ve missed in spectacular fashion is that the threat of Muslims attacking people in the US is minimal just like the threat of white supremacists attacking people. Both are used to reinforce the us against the bad guys mentality, to bad you’re not perceptive enough to see it on both sides.

Speaking of slow I can’t believe you’re still so confused.

Your reasoning hasn’t been a secret this entire thread. The only way your comparison even works at all is if white supremacists were as harmless as Muslims.

Fact is, Islam is a religion that teaches peace and acceptance. Much like other religions such as Christianity for example, there are some sects which go……another direction. But they don’t invalidate either religion themselves.

Now, let’s turn to white supremacists. Name one “good” white supremacist. Just one who doesn’t see white people as superior to others.

You can’t. Because there aren’t any. They all think that, because that’s what white supremacy is.

Your mistake is trying to inject a “good guy” into white supremacists, to make your comparison. There are none.. You’re focused on the violence aspect you forgot what white supremacists actually believe.

So no, I’m not projecting, and I’m not slow. I just couldn’t believe someone would be thick enough to suggest that there are any white supremacists worth arguing for at all, and now I can’t believe I just had to spell that out for you. Clearly you still don’t see the problem with that, and that’s sad.

All those words but you’ve yet to show that white supremacists attacks are common. It doesn’t matter that they are evil. Lightning is a bigger threat than white supremacists.

Did you even read any of them?

The commonality was never the a focal point of this thread, the comparison between Muslims and white supremacists itself is.

You’re just diverting focus to an unrelated statistic as a means of both controlling the discussion and avoiding the fact that the comparison between the two is an apples and oranges one.

If you want to compare the two groups then please provide me of a single example of a “good” white supremacist. If you can’t, then it makes no sense to continue.

Jihad is simply one example of my point. Some focus on the lesser, others on the greater.

Did you know that the Bible also at times views incest as appropriate, or that women menstruating are “unclean” and must be secluded, or that wearing clothes made from two fabrics is a sin? Do all Christians abide by these teachings, or do they interpret these and similar ones differently based on their own sect or individual basis?

You cannot blame all Muslims for the violent actions of a few anymore than you can blame some Christians for misinterpreting their religion.

You know what you can do, though? Blame all white supremacists for being racist pieces of shit. That’s why it’s an apples and oranges comparison to make. If you disagree, name one white supremacist who isn’t a racist and I’ll shut up.

You won’t though, because there aren’t any. Instead you’re just going to deflect again, insult or mock me or accuse me of still not getting it. I really don’t care. I’ll continue asserting that all white supremacists are racists because that’s what white supremacy is, and that that’s a terrible comparison to make that point with because it is.

Someone else in another comment mentioned something yesterday about “1 in 10 nazis being good guys”. Why are so many people in this community more ok with racist pieces of shit with a track record of killing millions of other people because it’s inherent to their belief system to one sect of one religion that most members don’t even belong to or believe?

The difference nobody here seems to understand is white supremacists have to be racist. It’s in the name. Muslims do not have to interpret Jihad in a violent context. In fact, the people who interpret Jihad in a violent context is mostly non-Muslim societies, so this just tells me you don’t actually understand the point you’re trying to make.
