I think it’s actually a Clementine fork, but I agree 100% that it’s fantastic. I would even speak highly of the Windows build. I was really happy to use a player that supports moodbar again.
I’ve not used Amarok since KDE 3.5 days, maybe I should give it a shot. I’m currently using Elisa.

Strawberry is pretty neat, I used to use it. I tend to always go back to VLC though.
VLC is so strongly hardcoded as a video player in my mind that it always baffles me when someone uses it for playing music. I mean, I know it can handle it, it just feels… wrong.

A few years back I had been recommended Clementine, and simply stayed with it. Recently realized Strawberry was the same idea but better and without all the annoying bugs. Can recommend!
