Nice to see it compressed timing wise, the 12 then wait til 5 a bit annoying for doing other stuff. All eyes on the 9pm local kick off though in Paris. A venue that Ireland haven’t had huge amounts of success in recent years, and against a ferocious South Africa that held Scotland to just 3 points a fortnight ago

But Georgia could do with a confidence boost, England might get a wake up call from Chile too, so all good to watch today!

Home UTC +1 Away
Georgia 1300 Portugal
England 1645 Chile
South Africa 2000 Ireland

As always, shots from pitchside, the pub, or your clubhouse all more than appreciated - please do share! And keep hydrated ;)

The rest of the tournament all seems a bit flat compared to that. Completely absorbing for 80 minutes. Pure mental strength was the winning of it for Ireland.

Lmao don’t know if anyone else is watching on Peacock/NBC, but these commentators are coming up with the most insane metaphors. From “Etzebeth is built like a Bulgarian vending machine” (lolwut) to “they’re as nervous as a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs”. Hilarious

Fwiw, I’m not sure Scotland have had their last word. So while a win would seal it for SA, Ireland have a tough double header coming up.

Ireland were the target going into this tournament, South Africa just looking immense. Of course Ireland are our bogey team, so it’s going to need us to be at our 100% best AND a healthy dose of luck. Means likely France as a quarter, which Scotland would take over the All Blacks too. So yes, a bruising encounter for Ireland is what I’m hoping for, with a nice BP win for us tomorrow

SA can’t seem to hold onto the ball. Great job by Ireland finding a way through on a very stout defense

Well, so far it seems the bomb squad is bombing. Gotta respect someone living up to their name.

At the same time, they seem to be on top of KLA and our wings in general. Not giving them the space to step whenever they get the ball

That’s us at half way for the group stages, 20 put of 40 matches. So a draw seems fitting
