@CallForCongress

We can condemn political violence all we want, but as MLK said, “my own government is the greatest purveyor of violence in the world today”

Trump, Biden, and much of Congress has engaged in openly violent and hateful rhetoric and actions as a matter of course

We are shocked at incidents like today’s shooting. But are we surprised? Have we not created a powder keg of war, animosity and poverty, driven by the corruption of the ruling class that seeks to divide us and divert our attention while they steal from us both overtly and covertly

What happened today is to be condemned. But so is all of the violence perpetrated by the imperialists and the war machine. We cannot expect that the violent and hateful actions and rhetoric of our political leaders will not have consequences

Unfortunately, incidents like today will likely result in increasing the power of the authoritarian surveillance state and a diminished capacity to criticize our government
