      Wikipedia:

He is considered one of the greatest military commanders in history and his wars and campaigns are still studied at military schools worldwide.

You mean that part of history?

Yeah that one which was spectacularily ignored by many great powers in 1914, 1918 and 1941, and that includes Germany twice. Three times the charm?

No one is talking about attacking Russia in Russia. We’re talking about defending Europe.

The Russian aggression against Ukraine is a war outside Russia… and while on the subject of history we know what happens when Russia tries to do such things in Finland and Afghanistan… or when they try to mess with USA. That is what happens with Russia when they try to mess with someone that has more than a third of Russia’s population.

We can agree to disagree on whether Napoleon was one of the greatest military commanders or not.

However, I’m sure we all agree that Russia haven’t managed to invade Ukraine within two years(!) even with the element of surprise (we all suspected that shit was going to go down but not exactly when) and an overwhelming amount of men and equipment.

Even Napoleon would have been able to produce a better result with resources like that…

I think perhaps you have no idea what you’re talking about. Napoleon invaded Russia THROUGH Ukraine. The Third Reich invaded Russia THROUGH Ukraine. NATO expanded it’s undemocratic transnational nuclear military founded by the USA and staffed with Nazi officers all the way across Europe, gathering Nazi collaborators into leave-behind militias through Operation Gladio and explicitly did not expand into Ukraine because everyone in the world knows that putting a military on the Ukraine border of Russia means invasion. Russia did not invade Ukraine to attack and occupy Europe. Russia attacked Ukraine to occupy the border region with activated military forces, securing it against further expansion of NATO along the exact border that Europe has used to kill millions of Russians multiple times.

Hello Russian troll: Ukraine is a part of Europe.

We all remember the impressive maneuver Russia did with the mile long column that was on their way to “conquer” Kiev. Holy crap. The world laughed at the Russian “efficiency” and the world will never forget.

You had one job, 2 years and over 400000 Russians later and you still haven’t been able to do what you set out to do. It doesn’t matter if you manage to do it in the coming 6 months: Russia is still going to be remembered by how incompetent they are.

The only thing Putin did succeed with was getting neighbors joining NATO and something EU never succeeded with: unite Europe.

But at least it is good that you agree that Russia attacked Ukraine.

No one is arguing that Ukraine isn’t part of Europe. If that’s what you understand the point to be, you’re a moron. Invading a single country in Europe and squatting on the border is not invading an entire continent. Stop your fear mongering.

Russia never set out to capture all of Ukraine and hold it. That’s what the West said their mission was so that they could then report that Russia failed. Russia’s objectives are being met in Ukraine, specifically not allowing NATO to amass forces on their most vulnerable border.

Russia is not going to invade Kiev and take the whole country in 6 months because that’s not their goal. It’s essentially an indefensible position if they do it.

You think that Europe is united? Italy and Germany are dealing with the rise of fascist parties to power. European industry is in shambles. England, the historical birthplace of modern steel industry, can no longer produce steel. Germany is deindustrializing. France’s African neocolonies are throwing them out.

Meanwhile the Western sanctions regime has failed completely, Russia has stronger alliances than ever, weapons production in the West has been shown to be completely incapable of meeting objectives while Russia’s production and weapons partners have demonstrated their clear superiority.

You can keep making up objectives and then claiming Russia failed to meet those made up objectives, but that doesn’t change the fact that Russia has no designs on invading Europe, has demonstrated their resolve and their resilience, and exposed the West as a paper tiger.

Sanctions had failed? Russia is stronger? Holy crap! Did you drink the cool aidand swallow the bottle…

No. Russia is not well off and the sanctions are working. You can just imagine how much Putin had to bend over for Winnie the Pooh to get access to the parts and weapons tech he so desperately needed. China is no one’s friend but their own and Putin is no match for Xi.

The only thing that will save Putin is when his asset is back in the white house after the election.

Ps. Next thing you’re going to say is that the frankentanks Russia has thrown out on the battlefield is yet another sign that the Russian economy is booming …
