No, I actually followed his career and saw where he stood on issues. He’s the most progressive Senator Pennsylvania has had in a long time, even if he isn’t in lockstep with other progressives. I am not going to generalize his entire platform on one tweet.

He campaigned on his unwaivering support for Israel. It’s something I wish he would reevaluate, but he’s better than the shitbag Toomey he replaced, or fucking Mehmet Oz.

He campaigned on border security, and he campaigned on fracking. He’s from Pennsylvania. I’d like to see him evolve on some of those issues, but the man had to win an election in Pennsylvania. He didn’t lie about any of his positions. We knew who he was when we voted for him, and if he runs for reelection, we’ll vote for him again.

Unless, do you want to run? Come to Pennsylvania and run for Senate. Run on issues like fair wages, universal healthcare, equal rights, while also criticizing Israel for the genocide, calling for open borders, and opposing fracking. Let’s see how far you get in your campaign.

If you demand ideological purity from your elected officials, you’re asking to be lied to. Fetterman may not be a perfect politician, but he didn’t lie.

He said he was a progressive. He’s not. Then he said he wasn’t. That’s a lie. Simple.

He is progressive on many issues, and is not on others. He was always transparent about where he stood on each of the issues. He was asked why he wasn’t with Bernie Sanders and other progressives on Israel, and he said “I’m not a progressive.”

Yes. He said he’s not a progressive after saying multiple times he was in his campaign. That’s called a lie.

He said he was supporting progressive issues, and he was. He said he was more progressive than his primary challenger, and he was. He ran on issues like gay marriage, LGBTQ rights, progressive tax policies, healthcare, Congressional stock trading, business regulation, criminal justice reform, and legalizing marijuana. He hasn’t changed on those issues.

He also was upfront about his unwaivering support for Israel. He hasn’t changed on that issue. He had some questionable ideas about immigration reform, despite being married to an immigrant. He hasn’t changed on that issue. He supported fracking, which is a huge industry in Pennsylvania. He hasn’t changed on that issue.

The only thing that has changed is the label. He says he’s not a progressive, meaning he doesn’t vote with the progressive bloc. He supported Sanders in the primary against Biden, but he was never a member of The Squad. He still holds progressive ideology on most issues.

Can you point to a single issue where he’s changed his stance? Besides using the word “progressive,” can you point to a single issue he ran on during the campaign where now he’s changed his mind?

I live in Pennsylvania. I’ve followed his career for a lot longer than you. I know what he’s said, what he promised, and where he’s failed. I would like John Fetterman to change his mind on any number of positions, but he hasn’t. I would like him to break a few promises, especially those made to the natural gas industry, but he hasn’t.

If you think he’s wrong, you might be right. If you think he’s an asshole, he might agree with you. If you think his health is a serious concern, I agree. If you think he’s a liar, you don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about.
